A Typical Day for a Medical Billing Specialist at our Network Support Center:
Manage Third Party billing across all WesleyLife branches, ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims. Stay updated on Medicare/Skilled billing regulations and implement necessary process changes for compliance. Understand Medicare and Commercial Insurance for co-insurance calculations, cash posting, and collections. Handle delinquent accounts and resolve credit balances. Maintain confidentiality of client and organizational information. Collaborate with various stakeholders including providers, finance staff, auditors, and state agencies. Update HCPC and RUG rates, and maintain billing software tables. Coordinate with Office Managers, Therapy Providers, and Directors of Nursing to ensure accurate billing and streamline operations. Communicate effectively with clients, responsible parties, and therapy providers regarding charges and financial information. Perform other duties as assigned, participate in projects, and collaborate with team members effectively.What You'll Bring:
4-5 years of healthcare billing experience. Ability to manage multiple functions and schedules under pressure with changing priorities. Strong organizational skills and ability to meet billing deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with clients, vendors, and team members. Professionalism in work ethic, attitude, and etiquette. Collaboration with internal and external resources while maintaining confidentiality. Attention to detail and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. Able to demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, adept at resolving challenges independently and collaboratively.
Open Shift Available: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm
Competitive Pay: The starting pay range for this position is $23.00 - $29.00 / hour and is based on your experience.
