Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant (MA) to join our dynamic healthcare team, providing high-quality clinical support in a combined Urgent Care (UC) and Family Medicine (FM) setting. The right candidate brings a positive attitude, strong clinical skills, and a passion for patient care. Essential Job Functions: Room patients, obtain vital signs, review medical history, and document chief complaints. Assist providers with exams, procedures, and treatments across both urgent care and family medicine settings. Perform in-office diagnostics including EKGs, POC testing (e.g., strep, flu, COVID), phlebotomy, and specimen collection. Administer medications and vaccinations per provider orders and state scope of practice. Coordinate patient care including follow-ups, referrals, and prior authorizations. Accurately input data into the EMR (Electronic Medical Record) system and ensure chart completion. Maintain exam rooms, instruments, and supplies in a clean and ready state. Contribute to process improvements and team collaboration in clinical operations

 

Qualifications: Completion of a Medical Assistant program. Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in Urgent Care or Family Medicine. Proficient with EMR systems; experience with Touch Works and Orchard a plus. BLS certification required (Within 6 months of hire) Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage varying patient acuity levels. Must be 18 years or older. Must be able to stand/move for long periods of time. Bilingual (English/Spanish or other languages) a plus but not required.

 

Hours: Clinic is open Monday-Saturday 8-8 you may be here later time to time to finish up on MA duties
