Job Title: Medical Assistant - Pediatric Neurology

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Medical Assistant in the pediatric neurology department, where you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to pediatric patients. You will be part of a supportive team of three medical assistants, collectively managing eight exam rooms and assisting with 30-50 patient visits daily. Your role will involve seamlessly transitioning between front and back office responsibilities, including patient check-in, rooming, and check-out. We are seeking someone who is adaptable, possesses strong communication skills, and can easily integrate with our seasoned team. Reliability and a commitment to consistent attendance are essential.

ResponsibilitiesFloat between front and back office tasks, ensuring smooth patient check-in, rooming, and check-out processes.Prepare and maintain exam rooms, obtain patient charts, and ensure all necessary reports and records are in place.Direct patient flow to maintain efficiency in the clinical office.Interact directly with patients by obtaining vital signs, conducting EKGs, and verifying medications.Prepare for office hours by scheduling tests and preparing exam rooms.Essential SkillsEpic EMR experience.Proficiency in patient care tasks.Strong communication skills.Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.MA certification.BLS certification.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in pediatrics is strongly preferred.EPIC experience is highly desirable.Work Environment

Work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment with a dedicated team of medical professionals. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 4:30 pm. Patient volume can range from 35 to 130 patients per day, requiring flexibility and adaptability.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
