This position is ideal for professionals looking to contribute to a compassionate, team-based clinic setting. You’ll assist with patient check-ins, provide clinical and lab support, and work closely with nursing and psychiatry staff to ensure high-quality care and positive client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare clients for exams, obtain vital signs, and assist with medical histories
Administer injections, perform phlebotomy, and conduct lab testing
Ensure exam and treatment rooms are equipped and sanitized
Schedule appointments, complete prior authorizations, and manage medical records
Provide support and education to clients regarding their care
Visit residential sites to review documentation and support medical needs
Communicate with providers, pharmacies, and external specialists
Participate in discharge planning and coordinate follow-up care
Accompany clients to appointments and advocate for their rights
Maintain inventory and lab supplies, including monitoring temperature logs
Document services and interactions in the electronic medical record system
Manage clinic injection calendar and medication needs
Participate in team meetings and other duties as assigned by nursing leadership
Education and/or Experience Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or Practical Nursing program
One year of experience in a healthcare or clinical setting preferred
Required License/Certification (one of the following):
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Illinois
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA)
Additional Qualifications:
CPR certification preferred
Phlebotomy experience and lab proficiency strongly preferred
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Proficient in electronic health records and standard clinical software
