This Medical Assistant role supports patient care services in a public health clinic setting. The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting with health screenings, performing phlebotomy, collecting specimens, recording patient histories, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, adaptable, and committed to patient-centered care.Responsibilities:Perform phlebotomy (capillary and venous draws), urine collection, pregnancy tests, lead testing, vital signs, and patient historiesPrepare and label samples (stool, blood, sputum, etc.) for transport to laboratoriesProvide in-room support for clinical staff during patient visitsMaintain exam rooms and laboratories according to infection control standards; monitor inventoryPerform data entry and documentation in EMR and Microsoft ExcelStock and rotate supplies; conduct quality checks on medical equipmentMake occasional home visits to retrieve records, obtain consents, or collect specimensQualifications and Requirements:High school diploma or equivalentCompletion of a Medical Assistant program from a community college or technical schoolAt least six (6) months of healthcare experiencePhlebotomy experience requiredValid Texas Driver’s License  Current American Heart Association CPR certificationBenefits and Perks:Pay Rate: $20.00/hr.Weekly pay with direct depositMedical, Dental, and Vision benefits401(k) retirement plan and referral bonus programYour New Organization:
