Requirements for working as a Medical Assistants, MA  

Graduated of a Medical Assistant Clinical Training Program or Externship program or 2 or more years of current, clinically relevant experience.Preferred: RMA, AAMA, AMT, or CMA registration or certificationMedical TerminologyCurrent American Heart Association BCLS / CPR CertificationCompletion of High School Diploma or GED

What Medical Assistants, MAs will do:

Room set up and patient preparationTaking vitalsDrawing blood and giving injections and immunizations.Performing office tests (Point of Care Testing)Administrative dutiesMay perform or assisting with in-office procedures / treatments
