Job Description We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join a large healthcare provider's laboratory team in Highland, CA. This person will be on-site Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. The facility handles approximately 150 blood draws daily, primarily serving pediatric and geriatric patients. We are looking for someone with excellent customer service skills, a personable and friendly demeanor, and patience when interacting with these patients face-to-face. While there are other phlebotomists on-site, we need a Medical Assistant who can assist with both blood drawing and various administrative duties. Experience in both front and back desk medical assisting is preferred, as daily responsibilities may vary based on patient volume and staff availability. In this role, your responsibilities will include drawing blood, providing instructions to patients, accessing data in the computer system for lab orders, processing orders and specimens, correcting lab codes in Quest, and handling both front and back desk tasks. We are looking for someone who is warm and friendly to greet patients, check them in, pull lab orders, and conduct patient outreach.
