OverviewAbode Care Partners is seeking a dependable and patient-focused PRN Medical Assistant to support telehealth visits across communities located in Jacksonville, Florida and the surrounding regional area. This role is essential in ensuring seamless virtual care delivery when providers are unable to conduct in-person visits.
The Medical Assistant will serve as an on-site clinical support partner, facilitating telehealth encounters by assisting with technology, obtaining vital signs, and ensuring a smooth and professional experience for both patients and providers.
Responsibilities Facilitate telehealth visits by setting up and managing iPad or mobile device connections between patients and providersRemain present during telehealth visits to assist with communication, positioning, and any real-time needsObtain and accurately document basic patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and other requested measurementsSupport providers by relaying clinical information as needed during virtual visitsEnsure all equipment is functioning properly prior to each appointmentMaintain patient privacy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulationsCommunicate effectively with facility staff, providers, and internal team members to coordinate careAssist with light administrative or clinical tasks as needed to support patient care operations Qualifications Previous experience in a clinical setting, preferably in primary care, geriatrics, or assisted living/skilled nursing environmentsExperience with telehealth platforms or mobile health technology preferredCertified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) requiredPRN/as-needed basis, with flexible scheduling based on provider and community needsStrong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach
Ability to work independently and adapt to varying schedules and environments
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to multiple locations within the business market area
