Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Medical Assistant responsible for performing duties under the direction of a physician to assist in the examination and treatment of patients.
Minimum Requirements:
+ High School diploma or its equivalent
+ Good telephone communication skills
+ Knowledge of medical terminology
+ Knowledge of medical procedures
+ Knowledge of clerical functions
+ Current CPR card (if applicable)
+ Current PPD or Chest X-Ray (if applicable)
+ Current Health Certificate (if applicable)
+ Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program; certification preferred
+ Minimum of one year relevant experience preferred.
+ Relevant certification/ license if applicable.
+ Must be at least 18 years of age

Position Details
+ Location: Palo Alto, CA
+ Unit: Administrative – Cancer Center
+ Start Date: ASAP
+ Duration: 26 weeks (with possible extensions)
+ Shift: Days
+ Hours: 5x8s, 40 hours/week
Requirements
+ CMA certification preferred
+ 2+ years of MA/PCC experience required
+ BLS (American Heart Association)
+ EPIC experience required
Pay Rates (DOE)
+ 2+ years of experience: $26.50/hr
+ 3+ years of experience: $28/hr
+ 5+ years of experience: $32/hr
