We are seeking a **dynamic, confident, and experienced Medical Assistant (MA)** to take a leading role in our growing health clinic in **San Jose, CA** . As an integral member of our care team, the MA supports providers in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, outpatient Primary Care setting. This role offers the opportunity to work across one or both of our clinic locations in San Jose, based on operational needs. The ideal candidate will be skilled in both clinical and administrative responsibilities, including assisting with direct patient care, managing medical documentation, and maintaining smooth patient flow throughout the clinic. With a strong emphasis on professionalism and customer service, the MA will help ensure an exceptional experience for every patient, client, and community member we serve. **Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM** **Compensation: $25-$30/hourly** **Duties and responsibilities:** + May perform both front office and back-office duties including registration, insurance verification, check-in and check-out. + Take vital signs, intake patients, and prepare them for exams. + Perform patient care tasks within medical assistant training, including patient history, ECG, specimen collection, venipuncture, injections, vital signs, charting, supply management, and sterile techniques. + Provide patient education and exam instructions. + Assist with maintaining medical records, immunization, and health registries. + Prep charts before appointments. + Support by answering calls, assisting staff, scheduling, and confirming appointments. + Prepare forms for provider review. + Process medication refills as ordered by the provider. + Resolve minor patient issues and communicate patient concerns to supervisor or Provider as necessary. + Attend meetings and training sessions. + Complete other related duties and projects as assigned. **Education & Experience:** + Medical Assistant National Certification required.
