Job Overview:
The Certified Medical Assistant performs routine clinical and clerical task under the direction of the program director and manager, physician or other health practitioner. Clinical duties may include taking and reporting vital signs, medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, processing prescription refills and assist with minor procedures as directed by physician or health practitioner. Clerical duties may include answering office phones, making patient appointments, reviewing charge orders, in all hospital/physician financial systems.
Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments.
