The Medical Assistant will provide safe and efficient patient care services under the supervision of a licensed provider and nurse. This role involves performing various administrative duties and requires completion of training and competencies for a medical technician. The position is primarily back office focused, charting patients for a general practice clinic within a hospital health network.
ResponsibilitiesTake patient vitals including blood pressure, heart rate, age, weight, and temperature.Room patients and set up their files for the doctor.Prepare and stock rooms after patient visits.Work closely with a designated provider and participate in daily meetings.Assist in appointment scheduling and insurance verification.Provide patient education and customer service.
Essential SkillsMedical Assisting Diploma1 year experience as a Medical AssistantBasic Life Support (BLS) CertificationProficiency in electronic health records and medical terminology
Additional Skills & QualificationsCPT license (preferred)Experience in phlebotomyStrong customer service skills
Work Environment
The Medical Assistant will work in a very fast-paced clinic environment, with operating hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The clinic houses 12 providers and includes on-site lab and imaging centers. The team enjoys a supportive environment with daily catered lunches, and there are opportunities for advancement within the organization. The dress code is standard clinical attire.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
