Job Description
As a Medical Assistant, you will perform a variety of in-office and remote tasks to support surgeons and ensure a smooth patient flow. Your responsibilities include rooming patients, updating medical records, handling voicemails, and scribing for surgeons. You will also prepare exam rooms, take patient vitals, assist with minor procedures, and manage prescription refills.
ResponsibilitiesRoom patients and update their medical records.Handle voicemails from the call center and assist with scribing for surgeons.Prepare exam rooms between patient visits and clean and restock them to maintain a safe environment.Take patient vitals and assist with minor procedures such as suture or staple removal.Support a patient flow of 15–20 patients per doctor daily.Manage staff messages, process prescription refills, and perform chart scrubbing remotely.Handle incoming calls from the call center.Assist with conservative treatment procedures and documentation.Collect and manage conservative treatment records when patients schedule appointments.Upload and report documents accurately into patient charts.Support physicians with various office tasks and administrative needs.Assist with managing MRI denial documentation and follow-up.Essential SkillsExperience in medical assisting and patient care.Proficiency with Epic and electronic health records.Knowledge of medical terminology.Experience in medical scribing or documentation.Prior MA or CMA experience preferred.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in healthcare is accepted.Epic experience preferred.Skills in phlebotomy and appointment scheduling.Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Morristown, New Jersey.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
