Job Title: Medical Assistant
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team. The role involves taking patient vital signs, stocking rooms, cleaning instruments, autoclaving, and setting up rooms for procedures. You will also be responsible for patient intake, which includes collecting medical history, recording symptoms, and escorting patients to their rooms.

ResponsibilitiesTake and record patient vital signs accurately.Stock examination rooms and ensure they are properly equipped.Clean and sterilize instruments using autoclave.Prepare rooms for medical procedures.Conduct patient intake by collecting medical history and recording symptoms.Greet patients and escort them to examination rooms.Essential SkillsCompletion of a Medical Assistant program.Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Medical Assistant.Proficiency in phlebotomy and clinical assistance.Ability to work with vital signs, primary care, and patient care.Experience with EMR systems, particularly Eclinical Works.Professional communication and customer service skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsCertification as a Medical Assistant is preferred but not required.Experience with Microsoft Office.Strong written and verbal communication skills.At least 6 months of experience as a Medical Assistant.Work Environment

The work environment is a high-volume, fast-paced community health center. You will work in a supportive setting that serves diverse communities across the Hudson Valley, New York City, and Long Island. Our centers are located in Southampton, Riverhead, and Wyandanch, offering both full-time and part-time opportunities.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Wyandanch, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
