Medical Assistant – Float Position Location: Chattanooga, TN (Primary), with occasional travel to Athens and Jasper Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–5:00/5:30 PM (30-minute lunch) Mileage Reimbursement: $0.67/mile About the Role Join a dynamic team at Consultants in Pain Management, where you’ll play a vital role in supporting pre-op and post-op patient care. This full-time float position offers variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to work across multiple clinics. Key Responsibilities + Assist Registered Nurses in maintaining patient flow in pre-op and post-op areas + Take and document vital signs + Support patient admission and post-operative activities + Maintain supply levels and ensure equipment is ready for use + Facilitate communication between clinical areas and business office + Provide relief support in scheduling and registration as needed + Assist with emergency care when appropriate + Demonstrate age-appropriate care and understanding of developmental needs + Participate in staff meetings, training, and compliance activities + Promote a safe and positive work environment + Adhere to and help develop facility policies and procedures + Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications + High school diploma (required) + Completion of a Medical Assistant Certification course with emphasis on back office and patient care (required) + BCLS certification (required; must be renewed every two years) + CMA license (required; provided pre-onboarding) + Experience with phlebotomy, intake, and clinic floor operations + Strong communication skills with both healthcare professionals and patients Work Environment + Full-time float position + Primary location: + Chattanooga Clinic + Occasional coverage at: + Athens Clinic + Jasper Clinic + Candidates able to cover only Athens and Chattanooga will still be considered Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
