Job Title: Medical Assistant Job Description Join our dedicated team as a Medical Assistant in a dynamic sports medicine office, where you will provide compassionate care to patients. You will be responsible for supporting back office functions, updating patient information including family histories and previous visit notes, and preparing patient rooms. Your role will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of the practice. Responsibilities + Provide compassionate care to patients. + Update patient information, including family histories and previous visit notes. + Conduct patient intakes and load rooms. + Perform vital checks and medication reconciliation. + Prepare charts prior to patient visits. + Complete prior authorizations. + Restock rooms and supply closets, complete inventory. + Triage phone calls for any physician or patient questions. + Update electronic medical records using EPIC. Essential Skills + Minimum of 1 year experience as a medical assistant. + Proficiency in medical assisting and patient care. + Comfortable working in a sports medicine practice and handling fast-paced office visits. + Experience with electronic medical records, preferably EPIC. + Familiarity with athena software. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred. + Accredited diploma from a medical assistant school. Work Environment This is a high-volume environment with 80-100 patients per day, working under five doctors specializing in sports medicine. You will collaborate with five other medical assistants. The role requires adaptability to different personalities and working styles, as the doctors' paces vary. Work hours are Monday to Friday, totaling 40 hours per week, with varying start and end times between 7 AM and 6 PM, depending on the doctor's schedule. The office maintains a busy atmosphere, encouraging teamwork to achieve the best outcomes. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00/hr.
