Job Title: Medical Assistant
Job Description

This role provides vital support to flu and COVID vaccine clinics during the 2025–2026 season. Medical Assistants will collaborate with nurses for vaccine preparation and delivery, assist with patient flow, maintain supply levels, document in EPIC, and ensure smooth clinic operations. Clinics typically serve 500–600+ patients daily, requiring flexibility across four locations. Pediatric support is a crucial aspect of this role, and all Medical Assistants will be expected to work safely and effectively with children of all ages.

ResponsibilitiesAssist nurses with vaccine preparation and delivery.Support patient flow and maintain supply levels.Document patient information in EPIC.Ensure smooth clinic operations.Provide pediatric support and work effectively with children.Float between four locations to support clinic operations.Essential SkillsPatient care experience.CPR/BLS Certification (required).National Medical Assisting Certificate.6+ months of medical assistant experience (strongly preferred).Experience with pediatric vaccines (preferred).EPIC experience (preferred).Strong communication skills and ability to work in high-volume environments.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in high-volume or fast-paced clinical environments.Ability to adapt to various site protocols.Strong team player with the willingness to request assistance when needed.Vaccine clinic or mass immunization experience (COVID or flu).EPIC knowledge or comfort learning EHR systems.5+ years of experience preferred, but new graduates will be considered.Work Environment

Outpatient community flu and COVID vaccine clinics across four locations: Palo Alto (6 vaccine stations), flagship site (10 vaccine stations), Burlingame (adult and pediatric clinics on 3rd and 4th floors with 6 vaccine stations), and Daly City (Thurs/Fri only, 2 vaccine stations). Free and easy parking is available at all sites. Burlingame and the flagship site may operate late on Thursdays (10 AM – 7 PM). Medical Assistants may be required to cover different sites on short notice.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
