Job Description

Join our team of dedicated professionals in a dynamic clinic environment, assisting in the delivery of primary health care and patient care management. You will play a vital role in supporting physicians and physician assistants by performing nursing and administrative duties.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare patients for examination and treatment by taking vital signs, reviewing medications and allergies, and entering health questionnaire information into the EMR system, WebChart.Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and maintained.Assist physicians or PAs in preparing for medical procedures and verify patients by their date of birth and full name.Perform procedures and complete accompanying paperwork accurately and efficiently.Promote the office discharge process by scheduling requested testing, writing lab orders and prescriptions, and providing patients with instructions or faxing orders to the appropriate facility.Triage telephone calls for referrals to physicians or nurse practitioners.Restock examination rooms weekly to ensure preparedness for patient care.Essential SkillsCertified Medical Assistant with certifications like CMA, CCMA, RMA, AAMA, NHA, etc., maintained in good standing.Experience in patient care, insurance billing, and blood collection.Excellent patient care and customer service skills.Ability to act calmly and effectively in busy or stressful situations.Additional Skills & QualificationsMA certification currently in good standing is a plus.Experience in rheumatology, internal medicine, or pediatrics is beneficial.Experience with the WebChart EMR system.Completion of MA schooling.Work Environment

Work hours are from 8am to 5:30pm with the possibility of starting as early as 7am depending on patient lab requirements. The work environment is fast-paced and team-oriented, requiring a cooperative spirit. No weekend work is required. A six-week training program is provided to support your transition into the role. Candidates should be adaptable, ready to tackle a variety of tasks, and maintain a positive work environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $24.00/hr.
