We're looking for a Medical Assistant to join our Nursing Department in the Behavioral Health Division. Our Behavioral Health Services division provides comprehensive and coordinated outpatient services to individuals with mental illness and/or an addictive disorder (alcohol, drugs, gambling) for both adults and children. Minimum Qualifications Two years of experience in administrative services in a healthcare setting; OR Two years of experience or training in patient care; OR An associate’s degree or certificate in a medical assistant training program. Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: In this role, you will: + Guide patients through clinic transitions + Coordinate referrals with other providers and services in a timely and professional manner Follow-up with referral sources in a timely fashion as required + Promote coordination of service delivery and prevent duplication of services + Take and record measures of patient’s general physical condition (vital signs, waist circumference, weight/height/BMI) + Collect specimens for urine drug screens (UDS) + Collect specimens for urine pregnancy testing (UPT) + Measure blood alcohol concentration (BAC) Position-Specific Details: Appointment Type: Probational or Permanent Work Schedule: Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday.
