Primary Responsibilities:
Medical Assistant:Obtains vital signs, weights, and hearing and vision testing when needed, and all other tests within the scope of the practiceAssist with maintaining patient flow to and from exam rooms and treatment areas. Assists in escorting patients and specimens throughout the facilityPerforms laboratory test procedures within established criteriaAdheres to safety and scientifically accepted infection control practices and standardsStocks exam room/treatment rooms with medical supplies, linen, and designated chart forms. Notify the Office Manager when supplies are lowEnsures exam rooms and treatment areas are cleaned after each patient leaves and prepared for the next patient. Assists with light housekeeping duties which include spillsCleans and sterilizes designated equipment after useAssists patients and communicate with Physicians to obtain prescription renewals as neededReceptionist:Demonstrate excellent customer service in welcoming and assisting patients and visitorsCheck patients in and outObtain patient co-paymentsSchedule appointmentsMaintain heavy call volumeComplete various patient, insurance or organizations forms effectively and efficientlyVerify and scan patient insurance informationGenerate referrals as neededAbility to function as an effective team member. Works well alongside physicians, nurses and other ancillary staffDemonstrates courtesy to the patient at all times, incorporating C-I-CARE into all patient interactionsAbility to communicate effectivelyPerforms other duties as assignedWork with integrity, uphold UHG's mission, values, and maintain confidentiality in all situations

Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GEDBLS certification or willing to obtain within 30 days of hireBe able to work Saturday and Sunday with flexible availability
Preferred Qualifications:
Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience - EpicCustomer Service experience Clinical experience, especially in PediatricsKnowledge of Medical TerminologyBilingual English and Spanish
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $27.69 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
