Under clinical supervision, assists in the delivery of patient care and treatment according to policies and procedures and Logan Health scope of practice. Provides administrative support and works collaboratively with Physicians, Advanced Practice Clinicians, RNs, LPNs and other department staff to meet the physical, psychosocial, education and spiritual needs of the patient and family. You’ll work side-by-side with physicians, advanced practice clinicians, nurses, and a caring team to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care. Your role in action + Welcome, prepare, and room patients for visits. + Record medical histories, vital signs, and document care accurately in the medical record. + Collect laboratory specimens when needed. + Prepare exam rooms, equipment, and supplies for patient care. + Assist providers with physical exams, minor procedures, dressings, sutures/staple removal, splints, or casts. + Maintain clean, safe, and well-stocked workspaces and equipment. + Answer patient calls and messages, forwarding to the right team members. + Participate in staff meetings and quality improvement efforts. What you bring to the table + Required: Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential. + Preferred: One year of experience in a clinical or practice setting. + Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy & physiology, pharmacology, infection control, HIPAA, and aseptic technique preferred. + Excellent communication, adaptability, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
