The MA will provide patient rooming for all types of clinic visits, communicate results and other pertinent medical information to patients and providers, assist providers with clinic procedures, accurately and appropriately document procedures and treatments in the patients' electronic medical record, perform telephone screening and gather information from patients to communicate to the RN or provider, administer appropriate medications and immunizations under the direction of the RN or provider, and assist in assuring the day-to-day activities of the clinic are completed timely and efficiently. This position is working in lab, working with podiatry every other Monday and floating and rooming patients working with all providers where needed.  

Schedule:

Casual, 16 hours each month  Variable weekday shifts 7:45am to 5pm

Pay and Benefits:

Pay range $18.40 to 27.61 per hour; exact pay determined by years of experience. Earn extra pay working extra shifts. Casual benefits available: casual PTO plan, wellness reward points, 401(k), employee assistance plan, and employee discounts!

Qualifications: 

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.  Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) with one of the following:  American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) American Medical Technologists (AMT) Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) National Healthcareer Association (NHA) National Association for Health Professionals, Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) Nationally Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) Must provide proof of pass notification prior to start with verification of official certification or registration within 3 months of exam date.

Additional Requirements:

Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card required per established policy. Ability to understand patients’ medical records, physician orders and medication orders to be communicated to the patient and staff.
