The Position

Principle Roles & Responsibilities / Accountabilities

Algorithm Innovation & Productization

Lead the end-to-end design, training, validation, and continuous iteration of multimodal AI models (CT/MRI/PET-CT + genomics/pathology/clinical variables) to enable patient stratification, treatment-response prediction, and prognosis assessment across diverse clinical scenarios—bridging scientific research and commercial products.

Build a full-stack MLOps pipeline that ensures full traceability, interpretability, and compliance with GCP, NMPA Guidelines for the Registration Review of AI Medical Devices, and other relevant regulations.

Drive the translation of algorithmic outputs into registrable products; work with Medical Affairs, Marketing, and other functions to craft regulatory strategies and provide all required technical documentation.

Clinical Trial & Real-World Evidence Support

As the algorithmic expert within the IHS team of Medical Affairs, deeply engaged in the protocol design of China-based Phase III–IV digital oncology trials—delivering specialized input on statistical hypotheses, sample-size calculations, imaging/data-endpoint selection, subgroup identification, and algorithmic design and validation.

Ecosystem Collaboration & Scientific Impact

Leverage the “IHS Medical Research Leadership” platform to identify and partner with top PIs, hospital IT centers, imaging-AI companies, sequencing vendors, and regulatory bodies to create win-win collaboration models.

Co-author publications in high-impact journals (Radiology, Nature Medicine, MICCAI, RSNA) with clinical experts; lead or participate in international and domestic multi-center research consortia and industry-standard initiatives (e.g., DICOM-RT, OMOP CDM).

Team Building & Capability Building

Serve as an “internal trainer” delivering courses on AI in healthcare, hands-on radiomics, and deep-learning best practices to elevate the digital literacy of Medical Affairs and Sales/Marketing teams.

Qualification and Experience 能力与经验

Education/Qualifications

Master’s degree or above in Medical Imaging, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields (Ph.D. preferred)

Minimum 5 years of experience in medical AI, radiomics, or medical-imaging algorithm R&D area, with at least 3 years of deep involvement in pre-market or post-market projects at a multinational pharmaceutical company, medical-device firm, or top tier medical-AI enterprise.

Job Required Competencies

Proficient in Python/R and deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow/PyTorch); familiarity with medical imaging tools (ITK-SNAP, 3D Slicer).

Knowledge of oncology clinical research workflows and data standards (e.g., GCP, DICOM).

Strong cross-functional collaboration skills to work with medical experts, engineers, and regulatory teams.

Prior publications in  high-impact journals/conferences is a plus.

Demonstrated expertise in either radiomics or large language model (LLM) application development, with end-to-end experience deploying solutions in medical settings.

Familiar with the healthcare software development lifecycle, able to manage and guide project-level software development to ensure high-quality delivery.
