Within our Vascular division, we develop innovative technologies that help patients with vascular disease live longer, healthier lives.To support our EMEA organization, we are looking for a Medical Affairs Specialist EMEA to be based at our EMEA Headquarters in Diegem, Belgium, playing a key role in supporting clinical research and medical affairs activities across the region.What You’ll DoProvide scientific and medical expertise to support medical affairs and clinical research initiatives across EMEAContribute to the development, implementation, and execution of clinical study protocolsSupport and coordinate Phase III and IV clinical trials for Abbott Vascular productsIdentify, recruit, and collaborate with clinical investigators, including discussions on study design and costsMonitor clinical studies to ensure adherence to protocols, timelines, and regulatory requirementsCoordinate investigator site initiations, investigator meetings, and multi‑center group studiesSupport adverse event reporting and safety monitoring activities in collaboration with relevant teamsPrepare and coordinate clinical documentation and reports for submission to regulatory authoritiesAct as a medical liaison with internal stakeholders and, when applicable, external partners under licensing or collaboration agreementsWhat We’re Looking ForUniversity degree in Medicine (MD), Biomedical Sciences, Biology, Pharmacology, or a related scientific discipline, or qualification as a Registered NurseStrong scientific expertise and analytical skillsExperience or solid knowledge of the vascular and/or endovascular therapeutic areaGood understanding of Medical Affairs, Medical Science, and/or Clinical AffairsExperience working with clinical studies and clinical trial processesProject management skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesStrong communication and presentation skills in an international environmentA proactive, results‑driven mindset and strong ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholdersFluency in English; additional languages are an assetWhat Abbott OffersA meaningful role within a life‑changing healthcare environmentInternational exposure at Abbott’s EMEA HeadquartersCompetitive salary and benefits packageStrong focus on learning, development, and career progressionAn inclusive, collaborative, and innovation‑driven workplace culture
