**The Position**
Role Purpose
Roche Diagnostics provides integrated solutions for diagnostics testing in commercial and hospital labs, medical centers and laboratory networks. Our products and solutions support healthcare professionals in clinical decision making in a wide field of indications _._
Within the Healthcare Transformation and Access Department, we are seeking a Medical Affairs Advisor Partner to provide medical and scientific support for our solutions with an initial core focus on cardiovascular & metabolic diseases. The Medical Affairs Partner is a field-based medical expert in one or more therapeutic areas, responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with healthcare professionals (HCPs) in order to create a better understanding of products and increase disease/product awareness, providing clinical and scientific support for HCPs, and providing medical information for our products to patients, caregivers, and the general public.
Role scope:
Key responsibilities
+ Establish and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals (HCPs) to create a better understanding of the company’s products and increase disease/product awareness
+ Provide clinical and scientific support for HCPs, including answering questions about products and other related issues
+ Prepare and deliver presentations on the therapeutic areas and company products, and participate in panel discussions
+ Keep up to date on scientific and clinical developments in the therapeutic areas, and provide medical information to internal and external customers
+ Communicate, drive, and handle clinical research/study for medical evidence generation that helps practitioners, patients and payers make good health care decisions
+ Contribute to overall annual and ongoing medical planning, including inputs on situational analyses and strategies
+ Plan and implement medical tactics and activities for assigned therapeutic areas
+ Plan and handle medical budgets
+ Review of non-, and promotional materials
Additional task, duties and responsibilities:
+ Responsible for acting in line with legal, regulatory and company standards and codes of practice (such as Roche Code of Conduct and any other Roche directives and guidelines)
+ Work in a cross functional setup applying agile working methodology
+ Ensure compliance with HCP interaction guidelines (e.g. iHCP) , and other guidelines from Roche quality and compliance groups
Requirements:
Education and experience
+ Master’s degree or higher in science or related fields
+ Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the life sciences industry (diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, or biotechnology).
+ Hands-on experience in medical affairs, clinical development, scientific communication, or product strategy.
+ Prior experience in cardiovascular and metabolic diseases (e.g., heart failure, ACS, diabetes) is highly preferred.
Required skills and qualifications
+ Good knowledge of Compliance requirements and clear understanding of high standards of Integrity
+ Scientific and commercial understanding of diagnostic products, knowledge of product development and trials, experience in managing, interpreting and presenting wide ranges of scientific data to different audiences
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to make decisions and set priorities
+ Experience in development and implementation of clinical research/trials
+ Strong sense of responsibility and achieving results, strong customer focus/orientation
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and with cross-functional teams
+ Ability to learn new concepts and acquire new knowledge quickly
+ Detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
+ Ability and willingness to travel
Preferred
+ Deep expertise in cardiovascular & metabolic diseases.
+ Proven track record in customer-facing, field-based medical roles.
+ Strong scientific writing, presentation, and communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
+ Thorough knowledge of the diagnostic product development lifecycle, including regulatory processes.
