Job Description Job Mission Provide scientific and medical leadership in oncology by integrating in-depth disease understanding, therapeutic strategy, and diagnostic solutions to support the execution of the local medical plan. Act as a strategic partner in the development and implementation of scientific initiatives, ensuring the alignment of clinical evidence with the evolving needs of the oncology ecosystem. Engage with healthcare professionals to foster meaningful scientific exchange, generate actionable insights, and ensure the appropriate use of diagnostic tools and therapies in alignment with the brand’s medical objectives. Collaborate cross-functionally to shape pre-launch and lifecycle activities, contributing to the positioning of the company as a trusted scientific partner in oncology. The balance between in-field and office-based activities will be adapted to the priorities of the therapeutic area, in compliance with internal standards and medical governance. Job Responsibilities + Provide scientific and medical leadership in oncology, integrating disease knowledge, therapeutic strategies, and diagnostic platforms to support the development and execution of the local and regional medical plan. + Lead scientific engagement with external experts and reference centers, including advisory boards, medical education initiatives, clinical insight generation, and strategic support for access and regulatory processes. + Collaborate cross-functionally with Access, Diagnostics, Regulatory, Commercial, and Field Medical teams to ensure medical excellence across initiatives, including field activities, scientific training, events, and content development. + Ensure scientific accuracy and compliance in the review of medical materials, promotional activities, training sessions, and adherence to internal policies, codes of conduct, and local regulations, while maintaining traceability and governance. + Monitor the clinical and competitive landscape, identify opportunities for evidence generation, coordinate diagnostic implementation, and provide strategic input to inform local and regional medical decision-making. Qualifications + Medical degree (MD) is required. + A medical residency or postgraduate clinical specialization in a relevant area of health is preferred. + A master’s degree and/or PhD in life sciences, oncology, pharmacology or related fields is highly desirable. + Fluent English is required; additional regional language skills are considered an asset. + At least 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in medical affairs roles, with demonstrated scientific and strategic contributions. + Previous experience as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for at least 2 years is highly valued.
