Media Manager, Reputation Marketing & Insights
Description The individual selected for this position will support the US media strategy, planning, and execution of paid media campaigns by Reputational Marketing & Insights (RMI). The work will challenge you to be resourceful, think big while staying connected to the details, translate data-driven insights into strategic recommendations, and embrace a high degree of change and ambiguity at speed. The scope and scale of what we strive to achieve is immense, but it is also meaningful and energizing. Key job responsibilities RMI’s US Media Manager will lead our reputational media strategy, planning and execution in the US to increase brand sentiment of Amazon among key audiences. Instead of planning and executing media against traditional direct-response conversion metrics like sales, clicks, or signups - RMI success is driven by offline outcomes that are far more difficult to capture and measure. Though randomized-controlled trials that rely on surveys, our team measures when our work is successful through attitudinal change measurement. We’re looking for the right person to balance the imperative to persuade a target audience, while doing so in a way that can be causally measured and attributed. Your focus will be on media planning, buying, optimization and performance analysis across multiple mediums, primarily but not limited to: premium digital video and connected TV, social platforms, programmatic video and display, and high-value direct partnerships. You will bring a data-driven mindset to help determine the optimal channel mix for reach our specific audience and move the needle. You will work with media agencies and other partners to ensure we’re on-air, on-time, and on-budget. And you will partner closely with other product experts throughout the company to build the next generation of industry-leading media buying tools. A day in the life As RMI's US Media Manager, you’ll execute media campaigns by: • Acting as a primary contact for Amazon’s media agencies in the US • Working with senior-level stakeholders and agencies to produce impactful and cost-effective media plans •Developing, iterating, and implementing complex real-world experiments through media campaigns • Managing budgets and timelines for media programs • Monitoring and analyzing key media buy metrics (reach, frequency, viewability, VCR, etc.), quality, and performance • Establishing optimization efforts to ensure the integrity and efficiency of the media plans, and working cross-functionally to ensure effective integration of media strategy with campaign messaging and creative • Jointly developing and executing a product roadmap for brand and reputational buying tools in the Amazon demand-side platform. Basic Qualifications - Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition - Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product - 10+ years of relevant work in industry or academia experience - Experience driving results through digital marketing and multi-channel campaigns - Experience with test and learn, marketing optimization, and experimentation - Knowledge of digital creative production, ad serving, cross-channel attribution, and media analytics - Experience developing successful marketing or communications campaigns Preferred Qualifications - Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights - Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders - Experience in a strategic client services role working with Fortune 100 brands - Experience from politics, advocacy, or corporate reputation management is valuable. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
