Mechanical Test Engineer

Design and develop complex mechanical components and systems, contributing to cross-functional teams and supporting production through analysis, testing, and documentation.

Job Requirements:

Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or Advanced Degree with minimum 3 years of experience, or 9 years of relevant experience in absence of a degree

Demonstrated experience collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams

Proficiency in SolidWorks, NX Designer, AutoCAD, or similar tools

Experience with mechanical engineering design and analysis

Knowledge of design-to-requirement translation and physical constraint application

U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with Avionics products

Mechanical test equipment design experience in optical manufacturing environments

Experience with common fabrication processes (CNC, welding, sheet metal, additive)

GD&T expertise with advanced stack-up tolerancing analysis

Experience using 3D printing for prototyping

Strong attention to design performance and continuous feedback

Job Responsibilities:

Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and complete products

Create, review, and revise documentation and mechanical drawings from inception through release

Support production through analysis, troubleshooting, and prototype builds

Contribute to cross-functional solutions involving initial design, prototyping, and environmental testing

Design test fixtures, cables, and interconnects with associated documentation

Analyze and specify tolerances for assemblies of precision components

Perform enclosure structural design and hardware analysis (optical, thermal, vibration)

Plan and manage engineering tasks and project timelines

Present project and technical information to internal teams and customers



Pay Details: $41.00 to $55.00 per hour
