The **Mechanical Technician (Plumbing)** shall support the Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright-Patterson AFB (WPAFB).
**Responsibilities**
+ Provide operation, repair, and maintenance for mechanical systems, water, fluids, and vapor (Plumbing) systems.
+ Installation of hydraulic and pneumatic piping.
+ Installation of high-pressure pneumatic piping.
+ Repair and maintenance of vacuum systems and pumps.
+ Installation of piping and plumbing equipment per manufacturer’s instructions.
+ Complete annual company and customer-required training, as required.
+ Complete timesheets daily in an online system according to company policies and procedures.
+ Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
+ High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
+ 8+ years plus technical experience or training as a mechanical technician with emphasis in Plumbing maintenance, installation, and repair (OR)
+ Trade school or in a related college-level technical curriculum shall be considered equal experience time; however, a minimum of 5+ years of on-the-job technical experience is required.
+ Must be a U.S. citizen.
+ Public Trust/NACI required to start.
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**
+ Must practice good housekeeping, tool control, Foreign Object Damage prevention, and safety at all times.
+ Must be familiar with Level-1 Tool control and regulations.
+ Ability to perform assembly, basic to complex modifications, and installation of equipment and systems from design drawings and/or sketches in accordance with accepted engineering practices.
+ Experience with high-power, medium-voltage (4kV to 12kV) systems would be beneficial.
+ Ability to comply with applicable codes and standards of the contract.
+ Ability to pass customer security requirements required.
+ Ability to attend all customer in-person meetings and conferences as required.
+ Ability to work nights and weekends as required.
+ Travel up to 10% as required.
