**Job Title: Mechanical Technician** **Job Description** This position involves working with various systems, requiring general mechanical knowledge to perform tasks such as filter work, inspections, and handling steam traps and strainers. The ideal candidate will be adaptable to change, have the ability to pivot tasks as necessary, and possess strong documentation skills. Proficiency with tools and the ability to work independently are essential. **Responsibilities** + Perform hands-on mechanical tasks including filter work, inspections, and handling steam traps and strainers. + Adapt to changes and pivot tasks as needed. + Conduct repairs, commissioning, and inspections both indoors and outdoors. + Communicate effectively using a two-way radio and cell phone. + Work at heights and understand fall protection procedures, including the use of lanyards, harnesses, and tie-offs. + Prioritize health and safety by explaining and adhering to H&S procedures. **Essential Skills** + Strong mechanical repair and technical skills. + Ability to work independently without needing constant guidance. + High level of communication skills. + Understanding of fall protection and procedures. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Knowledge of confined spaces is preferred. + Experience in semi-conductor backgrounds is a plus. + DX Ref systems and HVAC system knowledge are advantageous. **Why Work Here?** Join a dynamic environment where adaptability and independent work are valued. Expect to be on your feet most of the day in a dirty environment. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Taylor, Texas. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $35.00/hr.
