Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution

Minimum of five (5) years of hands‑on experience in a mechanical or maintenance‑focused environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associates degree in a technical discipline or completion of a registered apprenticeship programExperience in maintenance, construction, HVAC, equipment installation, fabrication and welding, hydraulics and pneumatics, or plumbing and piping systemsGood mechanical aptitude and blueprint reading capabilitiesMust be energetic and a self-starter, able to promote and implement change, have good PC skills, good telephone skills, strong organizational skills, and ability to promote a continuous improvement atmosphereAble to work in a self-directed or team environment and have good organizations skillsAbility to work independently and with initiative

This 3rd Shift Mechanical Technician position will be located at Howmet Whitehall Casting.  Primary responsibilities will include:

Assist Facility Engineers with completion of capital projectsInstall, move, or modify plant equipmentProcurement of repair parts, spare parts, or raw materials as needed Update or create new schematics and drawingsProvide technical assistance to maintenance staff for repairs and modificationsCreate and implement preventative maintenance and repair procedures
