Mechanical Project Engineer
Job Title: Project Engineer

Job Description

Manage technical projects from concept through implementation, including design changes, product updates, and process improvements.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain project schedules, resource plans, and risk assessments to ensure timely and cost-effective execution.Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, R&D, and supply chain teams to ensure project success.Support product lifecycle activities including prototype development, testing, validation, and production ramp-up.Provide engineering support for sourcing initiatives, including supplier selection, technical evaluations, and alternate material/component identification.Partner with sourcing and procurement teams to assess supplier capabilities and drive technical alignment for new or existing products.Lead value engineering efforts focused on cost reduction, quality improvement, and supply chain resilience.Develop and maintain technical documentation to support sourcing transitions and product changes.Essential SkillsProficiency in SolidWorks and mechanical design.Experience in project management, including project scheduling, timelines, and execution.Strong understanding of fit, form, and function in mechanical engineering.Experience with design reviews and assessing tolerances.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with SAP (ERP).Ability to collaborate cross-functionally.Effective communication skills.Work Environment

The position offers a hybrid work schedule with in-office days on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, allowing for remote work on Monday and Friday.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
