About Us

As a global leader in premium drinks, Diageo’s brands are loved and enjoyed in more than 180 countries. At our Leven packaging site, we package some of the most recognisable spirits in the world with pride, efficiency, and an unwavering commitment to safety and quality.

We operate with a culture of respect, collaboration and continuous improvement. Whether you’re joining on a fixed-term basis or in a permanent role, you’ll be part of a dynamic team with opportunities to grow your capability and make a real impact in our operations.

About the Role

As a Mechanical Production Engineer, you’ll provide expert support to our packaging operations by maintaining and improving mechanical performance across our high-speed lines. You'll carry out preventative maintenance, assist with capital installations, and ensure that all work complies with health, safety, and food safety standards.

You'll partner closely with line teams to diagnose issues, identify areas for performance improvement, and support operators with coaching on autonomous maintenance. You’ll contribute to start-of-shift meetings, daily asset care reviews, and support focused improvement initiatives aimed at reducing waste and improving uptime.

You’ll also be expected to actively use our maintenance and quality systems, such as SAP and Informance, and take part in early equipment management and centralising activities.

What You’ll Bring

We’re seeking a proactive and reliable mechanical engineer who brings technical know-how and a positive attitude to problem-solving. You’ll be confident working both independently and as part of a team, with strong communication skills and attention to detail.

You should have completed a recognised mechanical apprenticeship or hold an HNC (or equivalent). Experience in FMCG, process or high-speed manufacturing environments is highly desirable, as is familiarity with SAP, root cause analysis and safety compliance standards. A multiskilled approach or willingness to expand your skill set would be a strong advantage.

Working with us

Our purpose is to celebrate life, every day, everywhere. And creating an inclusive culture, where everyone feels valued and that they can belong, is a crucial part of this.

We embrace diversity in the broadest possible sense. This means that you’ll be welcomed and celebrated for who you are just by being you. You’ll be part of and help build and champion an inclusive culture that celebrates people of different gender, ethnicity, ability, age, sexual orientation, social class, educational backgrounds, experiences, mindsets, and more.

Our ambition is to create the best performing, most trusted and respected consumer products companies in the world. Join us and help transform our business as we take our brands to the next level and build new ones as part of shaping the next generation of celebrations for consumers around the world.
