Job Description Insight Global is seeking a seasoned Mechanical Inspector/QA Specialist with over 7 years of experience in mechanical systems inspection, construction oversight, and renovation projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, piping, and other mechanical systems, and will ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and quality protocols. This role involves frequent travel to various job sites to perform inspections, document findings, and collaborate with project teams to resolve issues. Familiarity with ICC/codes is a must. This is 5 days a week onsite, anywhere from 40-60 hours depending on the general contractors schedule. Day to day can include but is not limited to: - Conduct detailed inspections of mechanical systems during construction and renovation phases. - Review and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and codes. - Identify and report non-conformances, and verify corrective actions. - Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and project managers to ensure quality standards are met. - Prepare comprehensive inspection reports and maintain accurate documentation. - Travel to project sites as needed, sometimes on short notice (work for the next 6 months will be in Normal, IL.
