**Job Description**
Join AECOM as a Mechanical Inspector and contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality construction projects. This role involves confirming compliance with project specifications and industry standards for mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection. You will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity and functionality of mechanical installations while collaborating with a team of professionals dedicated to excellence.
**Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:**
+ Inspect mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection, for compliance with contract requirements and industry standards.
+ Review contractor shop drawings and submittals to confirm alignment with project specifications.
+ Monitor the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems, confirming proper functionality and performance.
+ Identify and report non-conformances, coordinating with contractors and engineers to implement corrective actions.
+ Conduct labor interviews to verify proper worker classification and wage compliance.
+ Immediately notify contractors and relevant officials of any potentially life-threatening safety conditions.
+ Maintain detailed inspection reports, logs, and records for quality control and compliance tracking.
+ Oversee corrective actions for unacceptable construction work and support final inspections, punch lists, and project closeouts.
+ Witness and document critical tests, such as pressure tests, leak tests, and system start-ups.
+ Verify the quality of materials, workmanship, and equipment installations to confirm adherence to project specifications.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ BA/BS in Construction, Architecture, Mechanical Eengineering or related field + 0 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
+ 2 years of experience in construction inspection
**Preferred Requirements:**
+ Experience working on federal managed construction projects
+ Experience in reviewing contractor shop drawings and submittals
+ Experience working in and around historic properties
+ OSHA 10-hour training certification
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software
+ Experience working with federal Project Management Systems

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $85,000.00 - $100,000.00.
