Chemours is seeking a Mechanical/HVAC Technician to join our growing Maintenance team! This position will report directly to the Maintenance E&I Supervisor at our Fayetteville, North Carolina location.
This position will support the site mechanical maintenance and HVAC systems to increase the reliability of Fayetteville Works’ processes. This role will enable Fayetteville Works to take ownership of this equipment and network with regional engineering and other resources to increase efficiency while not adding cost.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform all necessary routine and preventive maintenance duties related to process refrigeration and HVAC systems.
Perform PM in accordance with a refrigeration PM scope and manufacturer instruction.
Supply guidance and coordination for refrigeration / HVAC contract supplemental labor.
Network with Chemours Engineering and Suppliers
Support any other maintenance duties on an as needed basis
REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or GED required
Must pass NCCER HVAC exam
Requires HVAC / refrigeration experience
Requires strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Requires record and file keeping
Computer Literacy (SAP, basic usage of PC, shop floor systems, & data bases)
Work as a contributing member of a team or group effort.
Adjust to changes in work tasks, situations, and work environment
Self-manage and make effective decisions.
Train and develop self and others
Must be able to troubleshoot HVAC systems and facilitate repairs
