Location: Long Island City, NY (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
Compensation: $24–$35 per hour, commensurate with experience
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our innovative engineering team.
This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with strong experience in mechanical systems, testing, and fabrication.
You will play a key role in supporting product development, prototyping, and testing in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Controller Programming Experience: Proficient in Mitsubishi and/or Arduino platformsCAD Proficiency: Skilled in AutoCAD, Inventor, or SolidWorks with the ability to create 3D models3D Printing Knowledge: Hands-on experience with additive manufacturing technologiesTest Equipment Familiarity: Able to operate and interpret data from torque, force, and temperature instrumentsPrecision Measurement Skills: Proficient with calipers, micrometers, protractors, and other precision toolsTooling & Fixturing Experience: Capable of designing and assembling custom fixtures and jigsMachine Shop Expertise: Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and operating shop machineryTechnical Reporting: Ability to document test procedures and results clearly and accuratelyKey Responsibilities
Program and troubleshoot controllers, including Mitsubishi and Arduino platformsDesign and modify mechanical components using AutoCAD, Inventor, or SolidWorksOperate and maintain machine shop equipment including milling machines, drill presses, and CNC toolsConduct mechanical and electrical testing using torque, force, and temperature measurement equipmentInterpret and record data from various gauges and instrumentationUtilize 3D printing technologies for prototyping and developmentFabricate and assemble tooling and fixtures to support testing and productionPrepare detailed technical reports documenting test procedures, results, and recommendationsRequired Experience
3–4 years of experience in a mechanical or engineering technician roleStrong understanding of mechanical systems, tooling, and fixturingExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailStrong written and verbal communication skillsPreferred Attributes

The pay range for this position is $52.88 - $60.10/hr.
