We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineering Manager to join our Special Programs team in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.

As a leader, the selected candidate will manage definition, interpretation, and implementation of design requirements, task delegation, coordination and execution of hardware designs, development and integration of hardware custom and procured mechanical structural assemblies in accordance with engineering process specifications.
Ensure designs adhere to LM Common Integrated Processes as documented in Command Media, and drive process improvement into the design culture. Provide solution based technical mentoring to improve program performance and to drive error free design using proven tools, processes and predictive measures.

Primary responsibilities include, but are limited to the following:

• Provide technical guidance and oversight to a team of mechanical engineers, including mentoring and coaching to help them develop their skills and expertise.

• Support management of budget, schedule, and technical aspects of the team

• Support staffing efforts

• Perform managerial and administrative tasks for personnel such as annual performance reviews, timecards, career development, and training.

• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines across a fast-paced, dynamic program; adapting to the rapidly changing environment of a development program on a challenging schedule

• Promote a positive teamwork culture

Basic Qualifications:
• Strong background in mechanical engineering principles, including analysis and design

• Experience as a technical lead, manager, or Product Owner of an engineering team


• Active or Current DoD Top Secret Security Clearance required prior to start
Desired Skills:
• Strong leadership and technical skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team of mechanical engineers.

• Experience updating project execution schedules

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Strong knowledge of program management principles, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
