In this position, you will be supporting the Combat Mission Systems (CMS) Business at our Aberdeen, South Dakota office. *Relocation will NOT be offered and housing is not provided*. **As a LEAP Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will:** + Refine programs to improve quality and reduce cycle time + Proactively maintain a safe work environment + Work with team members to determine and implement Corrective Action responses + Review ongoing collaboration of best practices and strategies + Review and approve procedures and procedure updates + Work with manufacturing teams to design and implement tooling and fixturing to refine processes **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + Currently enrolled in a Bachelors Degree program pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, & Materials Engineering + Must be a Junior or Senior to be considered for this role + Experience with CAD + Good oral and written communication skills + Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others + Good organizational, planning and follow-up skills + Proficient with PC and MS Office Suite **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + Interest in a career supporting the Armed Forces **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $38389 - $51816 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan.
