Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineering Designer, this position located in Columbus, OH.

 

Collaborate with designer and engineer teammates to meet the design and technical data package requirements of a projectCreate designs based on verbal and visual informationDevelop fully defined assembly and part files of final designModify existing assembly and part files to changing requirementsGenerate formal, production-level engineering drawings for fabrication employing ASME Y14.100 and client-specific drawing standards and templatesSelect, specify and document purchased components and materialsCreate bills of materials (BOMS) and assembly drawingsKey Qualifications 5+ years of mechanical design experience5+ years of experience generating production-level engineering drawings3+ years of design experience utilizing Creo (6) or Solidworks (2020)Ability to work in a collaborative team environment, as well as individually.Experience working within Windchill PLM softwareUS Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearancePreferred Qualifications Current TS ClearanceKnowledgeable in the tolerance capabilities of manufacturing processes to apply producible tolerances.Knowledge of and proficiency in the application of GD&T to define part geometry and tolerances per ASME Y14.5Tolerance Stack Analysis per ASME Y14.5CAD experience with sheet metal, cables and cable routingDesign experience with electrical boxes and electrical schematicsExperience in documenting weld specificationsKnowledge of MIL-STD-31000
