Job Description Insight Global is looking for a Product Design Engineer to join of the world's leading social networking companies. This individual will work with the Reality Labs organization which helps people around the world come together through next generation Augmented, Mixed, and Virtual Reality. The primary responsibility of a mechanical engineer in this role is to assist team members with creating and documenting 3D and 2D designs within a PLM environment. Skills and Requirements ● Extremely proficient with NX CAD with prior experience working with complex ID surfaces ● Proactive communication skills ● Ability to deliver strong technical communication verbally, in written and presentation form as needed ● Detail oriented ● Previous experience working on consumer electronics ● Experience working for a major West Coast consumer electronics company and familiarity with related product cycles ● Experience working on soft goods or textiles ● Experience with mechanical test and inspection equipment such as Instron, microscopes, OMM, temperature and humidity chambers ● Experience with prototyping equipment such as 3DP, laser cutter, heating elements, adhesives dispense/activation, soldering
