Position Summary

An exciting opportunity is available for a Fixed Equipment Integrity (FEI) Mechanical Engineer to join a multidisciplinary integrity engineering team. This Perth-based role supports multiple onshore and offshore assets and plays a critical part in ensuring the integrity and reliability of pressure equipment across operations.

The FEI Mechanical Engineer is responsible for providing technical guidance and mechanical engineering support for all integrity aspects of operating pressure equipment, including:

Piping Pressure vessels Atmospheric storage tanks Heat exchangers Pressure relief devices Key Responsibilities Provide technical support to Maintenance & Reliability and Operations teams Ensure compliance with corporate, statutory, and regulatory requirements Develop and implement procedures to ensure equipment reliability and availability Act as SME for bolted joint assembly, design, and troubleshooting Execute Management of Change (MOC) reviews Participate in Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) Expert Group processes Develop integrity management plans, focusing on “grey zone” items (e.g., flexible hoses, hydrocarbon tubing, non-return valves) Lead the Pressure Relief Device (PRD) integrity program Conduct Fitness for Service (FFS) assessments and collaborate with internal/external SMEs Develop and execute repair strategies for anomalies and major repairs Support risk assessments for continued operation Assist planners and schedulers with compliance-driven work orders Provide on-site support during Turnarounds and execution activities Qualifications & Requirements Degree in Mechanical Engineering Strong verbal and written communication skills Practical and pragmatic approach to problem solving Ability to evaluate operational risk due to equipment integrity concerns Demonstrated ability to build key relationships across teams Commitment to safety and operational excellence Process plant or offshore platform experience preferred Preferred Skills Operational experience in LNG or complex processing facilities Experience conducting Fitness for Service assessments Knowledge of bolted joint assembly, piping stress analysis, and pressure vessel design Key Stakeholder Touchpoints Maintenance Execution Reliability Design Engineering Planning Production Employee Value Proposition Be part of a world-class organisation with global operations Integral member of the mechanical integrity team Opportunity to drive continuous improvement initiatives Work across multiple onshore and offshore assets Ideal Candidate Profile An engineer with operational experience who can build relationships and align cross-functional teams Strong analytical skills to identify problems, propose solutions, and drive implementation Ability to navigate conflicting procedures and internal requirements
