The largest device company in the world – with complementary businesses in Surgical and Vision Care. **Mechanical Engineer – Medical Device** **Belmont, CA** **1+ Year Contract $50.00-61.50** Design components, prototypes, and systems for medical/science/technology applications + Apply engineering principles and manufacturing practices to solve project-related issues + Develop and execute test protocols for components and devices + Create and manage detailed product drawings + Design test fixtures, author protocols, and perform validation and Gauge R&Rs for design verification **Requirements:** + BS in Mechanical Engineering + 5 years’ experience or MS + 3 years (Bachelor’s preferred with more experience) + Proficient in Creo (preferred), SolidWorks, or similar CAD tools + Experience with fixture/test system design and validation for design verification **Preferred:** + 1–2 years in the medical device industry (Class II/III preferred) + Experience with injection-molded or machined components + Familiarity with small assembly design and tolerance analysis This job description is a complete list of all desired skills but not all are required.
