Mechanical Design Engineer responsible for designing, documenting, and supporting custom conveyance, washing, heating, and structural systems.
Job Requirements
Engineering degree
3D SolidWorks experience
2D AutoCAD experience
Familiar with sheet metal design
Familiar with structural design
Skilled using spreadsheet software
Skilled using word processing software
Preferred Skills
Familiar with conveyance systems
Familiar with washing systems
Familiar with heating systems
PE License a plus, but not required
Job Responsibilities
Generate drawings using 3D SolidWorks
Prepare BOMs and assembly drawings
Select components based on critical design requirements
Calculate design requirements for conveyance, washing, heating, and structural systems
Process drawing releases and revisions to drawings and BOMs
Check drawings and calculations created by peers
Obtain quotes from vendors for purchased components
Work with accounting to execute purchase orders
Provide technical support to sales and manufacturing
Maintain and organize project drawing files, folders, and drawing archives
Create and maintain standard drawings
Work with vendors on manufacturing capabilities
Pay Details: $38.00 to $51.00 per hour
