Wood has been awarded an onshore project to support an international client operation by providing brownfield engineering and design services. The vision of this contract is to enhance the production and assets integrity across various locations. A team of engineers and designers based in Basra and Dubai supports execution of these projects. Projects under this contract focus on flare system revamps and re-ignition, rehabilitation of aging assets, BTEX emission control, flare gas recovery, and replacement or upgrade of obsolete equipment, piping, and systems.

Celebrating long service provides an opportunity for the business to demonstrate their appreciation of the hard work, dedication, and many years' service of our employees at 5-year service milestones Job objectives Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and non-conformances Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for mechanical equipment Perform corrective maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems and components Ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance of equipment Identify mechanical faults and root causes using diagnostic tools and techniques Recommend and implement solutions to recurring issues Ensure all maintenance activities comply with HSE standards and industry regulations Participate in safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations Stay updated on relevant codes, standards, and regulations Ensure that all work complies with health, safety, and environmental standards at client site Support the application of client policy in relation to the drug and alcohol policy, company ethics, award conditions, etc., whilst respecting and protecting the personal rights of subordinates QualificationsWhat makes you remarkable?

Expected:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, material engineering, or a related discipline Minimum of 10 years' experience specifically in maintenance, preferably in oil and gas and petrochemical sector Proficiency in English and Arabic languages Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications Good awareness in safety operations, risk assessment, and best practice engineering Problem solving Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Understand and follow oral and written instructions; prepare clear and concise records, reports, and other written materials Continuous improvement Ability to interact in a multi-cultural environment Demonstrated experience in liaising with third party contractors, business partners, and local communities About the CompanyWood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
