Mechanical Engineer

Summary: Seeking a Mechanical Engineer with expertise in avionics integration and aircraft structural analysis for rotary and fixed wing platforms.

Requirements:

Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance Bachelor's Degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or related field 5-10 years' experience in 3D CAD packages (SolidWorks) Minimum five years' experience in aviation upgrade support

Preferred Skills:

Experience in technical report writing related to mechanical design Experience applying systems engineering concepts Experience in aircraft structural analysis (FEA and classical hand calculations)

Responsibilities:

Function as design/structural engineer for avionics integration on aircraft platforms Design, integrate, and test advanced avionics systems in lab and on aircraft Lead integration efforts per specifications and requirements Use CAD tools and configuration management tools for successful integration Draft detailed technical reports on system design and installation Perform form, fit, and installation tasks when necessary Review/approve engineering drawings and reports from other engineers Prepare briefings for program reviews and milestone progress Interface with U.S. and Foreign Government customers, industry partners

Pay Details: $40.00 to $54.00 per hour
