Mechanical Engineer
Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Systems Design Engineer to lead the design and implementation of complete hardware and software systems that meet project specifications. This role involves full-cycle engineering responsibilities—from initial concept and research to final purchasing and documentation—while adhering to company standards and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign comprehensive systems (hardware and software) that align with project contract requirements and C&C’s engineering standards.Conduct research on design alternatives, suppliers, pricing, and specifications to ensure optimal system functionality.Estimate equipment replacement costs as directed by technicians; perform post-sale re-estimates to ensure cost-effectiveness.Support bid preparation and presentation efforts, including technical documentation and CAD drawings.Collaborate with project managers to coordinate material orders, investigate lead times, and communicate handling requirements.Assist in developing accurate engineering time estimates and schedules.Evaluate equipment compatibility, product quality, and opportunities to enhance existing system designs.Manage final equipment purchasing and procurement processes.Prepare and submit required documentation including submittals, O&M manuals, and as-built drawings.Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing concerns, implementing corrective actions, and maintaining clear communication with clients and internal teams.Required SkillsHVAC system designPLC programmingElectrical systemsHVAC controlsBuilding automation and control systemsProficiency in Visio and CAD toolsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution3–5 years of relevant experience preferredValid driver’s licenseExperience LevelIntermediate

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
