Job Description
This Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for creating comprehensive MEP drawings for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection. You will work closely with other engineers and the architecture group to ensure the designs are integrated correctly, and you will be utilizing Revit on a daily basis. Other responsibilities include performing engineering energy calculations and considering WELL designs.
Responsibilities
Design HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for new construction and renovation projects.Perform load calculations, energy modeling, and system sizing using industry-standard software.Prepare construction documents including drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure integrated design solutions.Conduct site visits and inspections to assess existing conditions and verify installation.Support sustainable design initiatives including WELL certification and energy-efficient systems.Stay current with building codes, ASHRAE standards, and emerging technologies.Essential Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.3+ years of experience in building systems design (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection).Proficiency in Revit and other mechanical design software (e.g., Trane Trace, HAP).Strong understanding of building codes and standards.Additional Skills & Qualifications
PE license or EIT certification preferred.Work Environment
This position offers the flexibility of remote work within an office setting. There is bonus potential for sitting out of one of their offices.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
