Mechanical Engineer
Job Title: Mechanical EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer or Designer to join our dynamic team. Our firm specializes in the architecture and MEP of remodels and new constructions, particularly focusing on K-12 schools within Minnesota, South Dakota, and North Dakota. This role will have you working on our Mechanical team, where you will specialize in HVAC layout and design, as well as assist with equipment selection.

ResponsibilitiesDesign and layout HVAC systems for various projects.Assist with the selection of appropriate equipment for projects.Collaborate with the Architecture team to ensure cohesive project development.Meet tight deadlines and schedules, especially during peak construction periods.
Essential SkillsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Associate's in Design.6+ years of design or engineering experience with HVAC layouts and equipment.Possession of a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or the ability to obtain one.
Additional Skills & Qualifications6+ months of experience working with K-12 educational facilities.1+ years of project management experience.Proficiency in Revit and other mechanical design software.
Work Environment

You will be part of a mechanical team composed of approximately 12 drafting, designing, and engineering professionals. The team works directly with the Architecture team at our shared location, fostering collaboration. Our standard work week is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with flexibility depending on job requirements and client visits. The work environment is fast-paced, with tight deadlines, particularly during the summer months when school construction projects take place.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
