Mechanical Engineer
Job Title: Mechanical EngineerJob Description

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for building conceptual prototypes, validating concepts, bringing products into full production, and conducting critical reviews of projects. Your role will involve developing mechanical system design solutions based on engineering principles and ensuring successful project execution.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop mechanical system design solutions based on engineering principles.Collaborate closely with team members on conceptual design layout, vendor interaction, prototyping, testing, and performance characterization.Analyze project requirements and perform technical calculations to support design efforts.Communicate technical details, ideas, and concepts effectively to both engineers and non-engineers.Create accurate documentation to support the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, including Design Verification Plan and Report (DVP&R), Bill of Materials (BOM), routing, 3D drawings, and instruction manuals.Engage with manufacturing plants and outside suppliers to achieve project goals.
Essential SkillsProficiency in mechanical engineering principles.Experience with Creo for at least 5 years.Experience with an ERP system for at least 5 years.
Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Engineering.Experience in sheet metal and engineering fields.
Work Environment

The work environment is in a smaller building with a production floor. The quality lab includes two individuals, one of whom is the quality manager.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waukesha, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
